Just been noseying at your website, It has come along way and so much factual and good stuff there. I am mad I have not done anything yet, struggling with IBA on module 2 with coming up with business ideas from skills and passions etc. Any idea what I can do do move forward here? I do know I want to start building some kind of business which puts money and profits in my bank, then I have something of my own and am happy with. I did enjoy doing Herbalife I guess the results of losing weight and the people I was around was good, I liked the Idea of WMI even though I have not got to use their products yet.. I do need a more active lifestyle and to make this happen. So any help pushing me in right direction would be great Ewan. I appreciate I need to learn and quick fix is not here even tho I feel I could do with it right now!..  I see your progress over last 2 years is great because you take action I feel slumped at a point of wtf do I do :s

Bro, I feel your pain. I been there. Push like a fucking pregnant woman, I swear, when you find 'your thing' it's awesome. You never feel like you're working. You wake up screaming to get started.

But I went through a spell like you did. More on it in a minute, and how I got out of it.

But first...

I've never been a chaser of shiny balls and quick fixes. I was brought up with a 'work hard' mentality. My dad works like a bear to earn his crust. I figured I had to as well. I thought the only people who got rich, were the rich people haha.

But one night, I got a glimpse of what was possible, I had no freeking idea it was all up to me.

One evening in a great friends attack, he fuckin hates me now though, :( but that's a story for another day, I saw a couple who were earning £90k/month with Herbalife. That was probably a load of shiyyaaat but never mind, it sparked inside me, a fire that just will not go out.

I got started with herbalife, I worked like a bear at it for 3 years, never got over £1,000/month. Ended up reading the coffee house letter one night at work, and joined CCPro and wealth masters.

I'm sure you know how it all get messy between them and all the greedy 'leaders' lol, fucked it up for everyone.

People were hurting, they'd invested a lot of money, some just weeks before the split.

People were wondering how I stayed so calm and focused through it all.

I had started to realise by this time I should be my own business and that a network marketing company should NOT be your only focus. Maybe it is for you, I don't think so but that's up to you.

By all means use products from a network marketing company, but don't run around like all the rest of the sheeps shouting company xyz is the best blah blah blah.

About 6 months prior to the split, I started to question the whole biz pop thing, the more I started to dig, the more I started to find.

Nothing but greed, lies and bull shit!

I had a list of people and was rapidly scoring a big black line through each name.

I got down to 2.

Then another got scored out.

The only name remaining...

Jim Yaghi

Why?

He helped me soooo much for zero return. I'd never even sent him a penny. He helped me to my biggest ever income month. The best thing, he wasn't full of shyt!

The biz pop industry was (is)

But then I was left in the same boat as my buddy who sent the question on Facebook.

How do I move forward as an internet marketer?

Sometimes you gotta step back and asses the situation

The things I knew

• I hated bull shit

• I wanted to build a business on t'internet

and

• I had to affect people in a way which would make them want to give me money

Passions/Things that excite me

• Helping people get a desired result (probably an ego thing) :D I think I get more excited about peoples passions than they do.

Anywhere you're making income claims you have to include all sorts of legalities and even then it's probably still not fuckin legal!

That's 600 items you MUST sell (because contrary to popular believe amongst dick heads, things don't sell themselves)

If you can convert to sales at 10% you need around 6000 leads.

Most marketers will struggle to get under a $10 lead, there you have a 60,000 adspend

You watched any of the Euro 2012 championship? I have been. The group stages finished last night, England made it through, doubt they will get any further though :p

They played France in the first game of the tournament and it got me thinking about the last game between the pair I saw.

Most home business owners are sooo dam serious and freekin boring. Nobody wants to read their stuff, never mind buy anything from them. No passion, no knowledge and no entertainment. Gooroo's have everybody in a box and they are scared to do anything other than what they are taught.

I was there, they said websites had to have a red headline, video under it to the left, optin box to the right

So desperate for a sale, they talk the prospect to death on the phone and, well...

I used to be said person. So nervous for various reasons.

It's a hard thing to master, some people just have it, others will never have it. I'm gonna try my best to help you into the frame of mind to close sales all day.

Yesterday we talked about marketing, mainly the landing page but what do you do with people after they optin to your site and start to move through your sales process?

Force a desired action

You have one goal in mind, to get people to take a desired action. Could be the action is the actual sale or to separate the lookers from the buyers. I use a paid application but if your new, you will probably want to use a free survey and get as much people to fill it as possible, then you can practice calling them.

With a higher priced product, people will more than likely need to talk before sending a large sum of money.

The survey

Its crucial you structure the survey with questions you want the answer to, so you can control the conversation the way you want to. You MUST know details of their pain. Exactly why do they want your solution!

Lets pretend you got lead flow taken care of or at least some people who have raised their hand to say, hey bro, hit me up, I need your help.

I suggest you get an assistant to arrange your meetings for you. You don't want to be chasing people. Think outside the box here, wink wink :D

On the call

You should remember the call's all about the PROSPECT, not you. Get them talking all about themselves, their hobbies, their family, their goals and dreams and most importantly...

The pain they're suffering from.

This is them telling you how bad they want your solution!

They sell themselves on why they need it.

Then you have all the ammo you need to ask for the sale.

Ask For The Sale!

Remember, they want exactly what you have to offer. Once they are crying on the phone, begging you to help them, hahaha, ask them how they would like to pay. Initiate the sale.

You may or may not be met with resistance, refer them back to the pain they're suffering from.

You hold the gold my friend, not the prospect. Of course you want the sale, but don't need the sale, even if you're broke.

He who cares least, holds the power!

So why sell a higher priced product?

Listen up. I cut my teeth in MLM, breaking my nuts for $50 commissions and it's soul destroying. Then some customers quit or refund and yea, it's soul destroying some more.

Hey, don't get all defensive, there idn't anything wrong with that, I love getting $50 commissions, but I love getting $10,000 commissions even betterer :)

Maybe you heard this story before and if you have, I apologise but it's cool, so read it again anyway :p

I'd finally admitted I was through with MLM, it was like a MASSIVE weight lifted off my shoulders, a bit like splitting up with a long term girlfriend.

I was searching for a way to make $10,000/month without having to deal with people so much. A way which was more reliant on my OWN efforts. I thought it was going to be property, turned out it wasn't. 

I got started with a top tier direct sales company and was making some sales straight out the gate, nothing to get all giddy about but still, I saw how it could turn out and got giddy anyway.

So a couple months in, I'm sitting on the sofa scratching my nuts, watching x-factor, pretending to be Simon Cowell. (just kidding, I would NEVER commit such an atrocity) Well, I was sitting on the sofa but i'll let you decide which part is the atrocity :D

I went to check my emails and holy-shit-of-a-bull, 2 emails with the subject line...

Ewan, A New Order Has Been Accepted

Remember, I was in the mindset of receiving $50 commissions so when I opened the first email to see I had made a commission of $1000 I was like, dude!

But then I opened the second one...

Holy-more-shit-of-a-bull...

a $10,000 commission.

I didn't know whether to piss my pants or jump for joy, looking back I think I did a bit of both :)

So why sell a higher priced product?

Your life can pretty much change overnight. I have seen it time and time again. One of my girls did $14,000 in sales in her first week of starting business. That's pretty powerful.

You're doing the exact same amount of work while getting paid waaaaay more and upfront.

I'm not saying don't sell low priced items, that would be dumb. You're online business funnel should be set up to cater for all markets. Don't cut yourself off from either.

herbalife v visalus

I asked a buddy of mine a question the other day. She's a ViSalus rep. I wanted to know how ViSalus compared to the nutritional products of Herbalife. 

I asked the question on one of her Facebook updates and I knew somebody was gonna put on their scarf and jump on the 'my company is better than your company' wagon.

Sure enough, within about 5 minutes some ViSalus supporter had replied with...

ViSalus beats the pants off of Herbalife. LITERALLY!

Firstly I don't care about their pants and secondly, how many potential customers are dumbass MLM'ers putting off by saying such stupid things.

It's unprofessional. 

In a cold market, especially with nutrition. You need to come across as a professional.

You should know your product inside out, find exactly what pain your client is suffering form and pair it up with a benefit.

There you go, a match made in heaven, like Romeo and Juliet :D

Most MLM'ers make zero money because they are not running a business, they are simply supporters.

Same as people support football and shout about how good their team is.

Get off the dumb biz pop train, shouting about how you teach people to live their dream life from home. 

Find a product your passionate about which fits into your 'unique angle', find a market looking for it and give them what they are looking for all day long.

hahahaha, doing some work on my site earlier, kinda overhauling everything and adding in some new features to suit the way our business is progressing and I remembered a funny story. I was telling my lady bout it.

There's a whole lot of it going on, if it's you, you should probably not do it anymore. Just my (usually pretty dam accurate) advice.

How to approach people and sell your stuff

So this guy sends me a private message using the idiots technique of...

• Introduce yourself like you've been best friends for years

• Stroke his ego for a while

• Kick him in the nuts and sell your stuff

The guy in question must of had something to do with building or designing websites, in fact, no, he was probably just selling someone else's dipshit package for a commission.

Anyway, the message went something like this

Hey Ewan, how are you? How is everything going? Your website is doing you a dis-service, it's really bad for a such a big internet marketer like you to not have a great website. I can show you blah blah blah ........

To start with I was ready to hunt him down and break his balls but then I settled down and Yaghi and myself had a giggle :)

Lets be honest, my website is freekin awesome hahaha, and if you don't agree, it's cool, it's converted cold traffic into leads, raving fans, sales and ultimately tons of thy green stuff.

So for you...

1) Don't approach people and make them think your a broke newbie, desperate for a sale of your awesome, sells it's self, never seen anything like it before, product.

Lets see if you've even got a hope of sucking in some clients and making them give you money

I recently spoke with a guy who wasn't really getting the results he was looking for, asked me to take a look at his blog.

I didn't have to look far to see his problem. He had the same disease as most others I see

Nothing was his own!

Every blog post was an article or video by somebody else.

Now, while my client thought he was doing good, he wasn't.

Think about it, it's pretty lazy, lacks any creativity and, well, its just lame! Really think you could make pesos by copying a couple videos and articles by someone else onto your blog?

Why would you go to some dude you never did hear of before to watch the experts in action? I reckon you're the same as me and you'd go to the experts blog or YouTube to watch, right? If you were to land on some random blog with a Mike Maloney video or an article from Robert Kiyosaki, all your gonna do is hit up google and go search for the real deal!

Fanboys sharing and re-tweeting their favourite gooroo's every word.

Sure, now and again they may say something which tickles your fancy and you want to re post, but the reason most are re-posting is for...

They don't care what it is. As long as it came from the mouth of a gooroo they're bashing the share button as fast as they can.

Nobody cares.

The online world has no need for clones.

It needs exciting new products and services delivered by creative entrepreneurs, who take a problem and bash it round it's ears with the solution.

Unfortunately, our industry will be plagued by these clones, hoping and dreaming, one day their favourite gooroo will acknowledge them and all their dreams will come true.

Look at your blog, are your posts your own? What does it offer your reader?

Look are your tweets/fb updates what are they doing for people? 

Look at your websites, what do they do for people? are they your own or some generic replicated trash?

What do YOU offer the marketplace? Why should I seek you out to do business with you?

If you can't answer anything other than what your company offers, then I'm sorry to tell ya my friend but you are a little mlm clone, same as everyone else?

the outer body gooroo

Hey dawg,

Watched this film the other night, called Red Mist, maybe you saw it? It's pretty messed up but it's how I see the t'internet marketing world.

The Plot.

Basically, a group of medical students at Forthaven General Hospital, study hard and party harder until a cruel prank accidentally puts the hospital's creepy caretaker into a deep coma. But when Catherine (maxims hot 100 list)  tries to revive the degenerate loser with an experimental drug, she instead send his brainwaves crazy. 

It's not long before Catherine's friends are brutally picked off one by one. One guy gets a funnel taped to his face and gets a litre of acid poured into his body, pretty wild but he was a dick, and totes deserved it!!!

Anyway, In case you wanna run out and watch the film I won't spoil it for you but here's my point.

Doesn't matter what I'm watching, if the plot has something going on, like in this film, where I, the viewer can see one person or group of people know something the others don't, I get all agitated as there idn't anything I can do to let the unsuspecting know what's about to happen.

See, Catherine knows exactly whats going on but nobody else does. 

Same as online. I can see what they can't. All these blind, unsuspecting wannabeez, buying up course after course, re-tweeting what their favourite gooroo posts, EVERYTIME they post. Hanging on their every breath waiting for their voicebox to ejaculate a golden piece of information that is gonna turn everything around for them.

Ain't ever gonna happen.

And if they do see a little success, you know, some leads and a little pesos! It will all be pulled from underneath their feet

Why?

Because what they've been taught is dumb and unsustainable. They get some leads and make a few sales but the marketing platform catch on, and they're banned.

It's a continual process of finding new ways to market, doing a little marketing then get kicked off and have to start again.

So, like I said, I can see stuff they can't. I think they ought to know.

Most probably won't want to know as they get a little comfort from buying up shitty courses and following their favourite gooroo as it's the easy option.

how to remove blogger navbar

Hello,

Funky trick for you today. I first came across it a couple years back when I was using blogger pages for my email autoresponders. I loved it, pretty much makes your blog completely personalised. :D

It is handy having the navbar to sneek back into your dashboard but visually, I think it spoils the look.

So if you want to remove it, pick your choose from the 2 options...

Take the following code


#navbar-iframe { display: none !important;}


Go into template then edit html then paste the above code as shown below

Then click save template

The second option, does the same job. I have tried both

Go into template, then edit html and paste code as shown below.

When you click save template you will see the following, click on delete widgets and you are good to go.

If you ever choose to display the navbar on your blog again, simply delete the code and click save template.
