Saw a silly mlm'er bleating on Facebook earlier about how his new mlm company is awesome and everyone should...
'jump on or watch it go by'.
Took me waaaaay back to a moment in 1995. I stayed in Northern Ireland at the time. Was one of those moments which stay with you forever.
My mother and I were going into the nearest town to do some shopping and had walked around the mile or so from our house to the bus stop. We got there in plenty time and waited in line with all the other people.
Just an ordinary trip to the shops...
But things were about to get...
Well....
Lets say, interesting.
As the bus pulled up, all of a sudden my mother went crazy, and I mean...
Fuckin crazy!
She started screaming, threw her handbag down on the ground and preceded to jump up and down on top of it, with both feet!
There were all kinds of words coming from her mouth. I didn't know what the hell was going on.
EVERYONE was watching!
I was like, 'mum'...
aaarrrggghhhh
'MUM'...
aaarrrrggggghhhhhhhhhh
'MUM, What's Wrong'?
'I've left my F*&^%$£ bus pass at home'
When I informed her it was in fact, in her hand, she stopped jumping and shouting and waited for the ground to open up and swallow her.
If I'm honest, I probably would've jumped straight in after her!
I mean, I was 14, I was at that stage in life where I had serious street cred.
Anyway, we got on the bus, had a proper laugh (and for the following months) and I said, if we hadn't jumped on that particular bus, we would've jumped on the next one.
mlm companies are no different than buses.
They come and go and all the sheeps 'jump on' thinking if they only get that ground floor spot, they will be set.
Doesn't work like that sweetcheeks.
Even if you do see some early success, it's usually down to enthusiasm, and it soon wears off. Just as quick as you go up, you come hammering back down (like my psycho mother on her handbag)
Often is the case, you find a sweet spot and generate a ton of leads, make some money and all of a sudden there is a change in some FTC laws and you are kicked off.
Bang goes your lead flow and bang goes your income.
